This exquisite diptych presents two of the most deeply revered images in the Orthodox tradition - the Holy Mandylion, the Not-Made-by-Hand image of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Virgin in a prayerful pose, with her hands humbly crossed in front of her chest.

The image of the Holy Mandylion is presented on a background of warm golden ochre, which emphasizes the holiness and radiance of the face of Christ. The image of the Most Holy Virgin is framed by raised copper inlay with exquisite Swarovski crystals, giving the composition a noble shine and delicate light. The same artistic approach is used with the halo of Christ, which further emphasizes the spiritual radiance of the Not-Made-by-Hand image.

The diptych is made in a small, compact format, which makes it not only an elegant object for a home prayer corner, but also convenient to carry. Thanks to its construction, it can be closed, becoming a practical and at the same time deeply symbolic spiritual image that can accompany its owner during a journey.

The combination of traditional Orthodox iconography, warm golden ochre, copper hardware and the radiance of crystals creates a work in which faith, prayer and artistic craftsmanship meet in a harmonious diptych.
