       The icon depicts the Holy Cross in the center of the composition, surrounded by exquisite Byzantine ornaments - fine geometric and plant motifs, woven like heavenly lace. 

       The edges of the composition are decorated with pearls, symbolizing purity and eternity, and their soft shine harmonizes with the blue background.

       The space around the Cross is decorated with Byzantine floral motifs, arranged symmetrically and shining in deep tones of red and green. The ornaments give a feeling of a heavenly garden

       The inscription “IS HS NIKA” is often found on Orthodox icons, crosses and liturgical objects and carries a deep spiritual meaning.

        This is an affirmation of the faith that Christ, through His sacrifice on the cross and Resurrection, has conquered the death, sin and the forces of evil.

This is a short but extremely powerful confession of the Orthodox faith.
