His hair is long, falling in strands on his shoulders, raised by a diadem, and a round golden halo shines around his head.

He is dressed in military robes - a chiton and a bright red cloak, richly decorated with gold, symbolizing his heavenly power. On his chest is a breastplate. In his right hand he holds a sword - a sign of his power to defeat evil and defend justice. In his other hand is depicted a round sphere, a symbol of the divine power and God's judgment.

His wings spread behind his back - large and bright, with heavenly hues, emphasizing his heavenly origin. The background of the icon is blue, and the image is flanked by a woodcarved silver frame.

Archangel Michael is depicted not only as a heavenly warrior, but also as a defender of Christians, guardian of the Church, and a leader of the heavenly warriors. His face combines severity and mercy – severity against evil and mercy towards the righteous.
