The icon depicts the Holy Great Martyr Galina in a waist-high image in the center of the composition, with a noble and calm expression on her face.

The saint is dressed in traditional vestments, in warm red and golden tones, symbolizing her martyrdom, as well as her faith and spiritual strength.

Above her, symmetrically arranged on both sides, are depicted two angels - ethereal, with outstretched wings, who look at the saint and seem to envelop her with a heavenly grace.

In the center at the top of the icon is depicted Jesus Christ, blessing Saint Galina.

The saint's halo is richly decorated - it is painted with flowers and ornaments and inlaid with an exquisite white pearls, giving it elegancy and symbolizing heavenly purity and beauty.

There are two golden medallions on both sides of the saint with the inscriptions: "Holy Martyr Galina, pray to God for us" - a prayer call, that emphasizes the intercessory role of the saint before God.

The composition is surrounded by two decorative inner frames, richly ornamented with golden baroque motifs, which give то the icon magnificence and solemnity.

The lower register of the icon depicts three small scenes from the life of the saint:

• "Saint Galina and other saints are thrown into the sea" - a symbol of her trial and unwavering faith;
• "Saint Galina buries the relics of Saint Charalambos" - an act of reverence and piety;
• "Saint Nicholas saves the icon of Saint Galina from the sea" - a miraculous event, an expression of the divine intercession.

The entire icon is flanked on the sides by a silver-covered relief edge with an exquisite semicircular shape, which surrounds the image like a frame. There are silver-covered carved elements at its four corners, giving harmony and finish to the icon.
